Add to Firefox the FireFTP plugin and you have a browser based FTP client too!

Do you ever want to free up some of the space on your hard drive or want to access your files from any computer, anywhere in the world?

Windows Live (Hotmail log in) has introduced Sky Drive - a 5Gb remote, password protected facility to let you do just that.

You can share files with those you trust (by giving them access by a password) or you can access your own presentation folders if you have, for example, a PDF presentation or a video presentation without having to carry your laptop around with you.

Fot some of you with smaller hard drives, this extra storage could mean the difference between a slower machine or, even, having to buy a new one (how much faster would your machine run if you could store 5Gb somewhere else but easily accessible?

One of the more useful tools, especially if you want to create tutorials or a record of what you did (just in case it didn't work properly) is a screen capture tool.

We are all familiar with Camtasia but you can now look at the Jing Project which has a product that I think is superior.

Not only does it create high quality images, they are hosted at no cost - a truly 'free' alternative.
