What is The Marketplace?

I hope everyone has had a chance to look around the site. There's a lot of cool things here and the one nice thing is we are not here to talk shop. How ever we do have businesses, after all that's what has brought us together. So how do we handle promoting our business without resorting to promotions all over the place?

We have created The Marketplace here in the forums. Every member gets a thread to use as your online "store". This is your store, place your banners and links here, shamelessly promote your business here. Announce specials and sales but do it in The Marketplace. Unfettered is a place to relax and socialize let's use it for that. It's up to all of us to lead by example here. If new people come in and see us promoting our businesses all over the place, guess what they will do?

So to keep the atmosphere friendly and relaxed and not have to spend our time fighting this turning into an ad site, please take advantage of The Marketplace. The only thing allowed there is promotion

Simply put, the marketplace is the only place on Unfettered where we promote our business with the exception of a signature link. Please use it wisely, for all your on site promotion, so we can continue building Unfettered! into a very unique SOCIAL Network where people will Actually WANT to VISIT and Interact in

Failing this, we will remove all business related activity from the site to keep it SPAM FREE and interesting for everyone.
